George H. Sengbusch was born on April 26, 1893, in Niles, Cook County, Illinois. He was the son of Frederich Sengbusch and Sophia Jarmuth Sengbusch.
He served in Battery E, 332nd Field Artillery Regiment, 86th Division, as a Private during World War I. He died from pneumonia on October 15, 1918, in the hospital La Courneau, Camp Hunt in France. He was buried at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Ormsby, Martin County, Minnesota, USA.
