Grover Lee Leftridge was born on May 5, 1925, in Cadet, Washington County, Missouri. He was the son of Morris Fenton Leftridge and Ella Elizabeth Parkins Leftridge.
Grover served in the 116th Infantry Regiment, 29th Infantry Division, as a Private during World War II. He was Killed in Action on July 19, 1944, during the liberation of Vire, France. Pvt Leftridge is now buried in the Brittany American Cemetery and Memorial, Saint-James, Departement de la Manche, Basse-Normandie, France.
