Robert John Marshall was born on July 5, 1919, in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri. He was the son of Frank Garfield Marshall and Mary Allison Marshall.
Robert served in the 116th Infantry Regiment, 29th Infantry Division, as a Corporal during World War II. He was Killed in Action on August 7, 1944, during the liberation of Vire, France. Cpl Marshall is now buried in the Abilene Cemetery, Abilene, Dickinson County, Kansas, USA.
