                            Harold Wayne Paris was born on May 18, 1922, in New Albany, Floyd County, Indiana. He was the son of Edgar Miller Paris and Bessie Pearl Tames Paris. He was a graduate of New Albany High School and a former employee of the Kurfee Paint Company of Louisville.
Harold served in the 116th Infantry Regiment, 29th Infantry Division, as a Private First Class during World War II. He was Killed in Action on June 8, 1944, during the liberation of Vire, France. PFC Paris is now buried in the New Albany National Cemetery, New Albany, Floyd County, Indiana, USA.
