Cecil served in the 116th Infantry Regiment, 29th Infantry Division, as a Private during World War II. He was Killed in Action on August 5, 1944, during the liberation of Vire, France. Pvt Perry is now buried in the Barbourville Cemetery, Barbourville, Knox County, Kentucky, USA.
