Beltram W. Young was born on July 9, 1916, in Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, Ohio. He was the son of Michalina Murawska Rutkowski. He enlisted in the service on February 3, 1941.
Beltram served in the 116th Infantry Regiment, 29th Infantry Division, as a Technical Sergeant during World War II. He was Killed in Action on August 8, 1944, during the liberation of Vire, France. TSgt Young is now buried in the Woodland Cemetery, Chase City, Mecklenburg County, Virginia, USA.
