Charles N. Rosenblum was born on October 12, 1925, in Memphis, Shelby County, Tennessee. He served in the 601st Bomber Squadron, 398th Bomb Group, Heavy, as a Sergeant and Ball Turret Gunner of B-17 #43-38164 during World War II.

On September 12, 1944, Sgt. Rosenblum was aboard B-17 Flying Fortress #43-38164 during a bombing mission targeting the synthetic oil plant at Brüx (now Most), Czechoslovakia. Tragically, he died during the mission, reportedly due to anoxia caused by a faulty oxygen mask .

Sgt Rosenblum is now buried in the Cambridge American Cemetery and Memorial, Coton, South Cambridgeshire District, Cambridgeshire, England. Charles N. Rosenblum's name is inscribed on the Anstey Window Memorial in Panel 2 (center), on Butterfly 19, in bottom top right wing (section D).
