Paul V. “Schroder” Jackson was born on September 17, 1909, in Rantoul, Champaign County, Illinois. He was the son of Mary Jackson. He was married to Frances Madigan. He worked in the railway express before enlisting in the service on January 13, 1943. He served in the 318th Infantry Regiment, 80th Infantry Division, as a Private First Class during World War II.
PFC Jackson was Killed in Action on August 19, 1944, during the liberation of Argentan, France. He is now buried in the Brittany American Cemetery and Memorial, Saint-James, Departement de la Manche, Basse-Normandie, France.
