Charles George Douville was born on February 13, 1892, in Neche, Pembina County, North Dakota. He was the son of Stephen Douville and Jeannette Aymond Douville. He was a farmer before enlisting in the service in 1916. He served in the 28th Battalion, Canadian Infantry (Saskatchewan Regiment), as a Private during World War I.

Pvt Douville died from his wounds received in battle on November 3, 1917, in Belgium. He is now buried in the Potijze Chateau Grounds Cemetery, Ypres, Arrondissement Ieper, West Flanders, Belgium.Source of information: www.cwgc.org
