1st Lt Thomas “Jerry” Gerald Walsh was the pilot of the Douglas A-20 Havoc 43-9502 when it took off from Station 154 Gosfield, UK, on a bombing mission to Rouen. The plane was hit by flak at 2015 hours. Walsh’s body was later found in the forest of Grand Couronne.
