Radar Operator of the B-17 �Hell�s Below� that took off from Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, UK on 29 May 1943 to bomb Rennes, France. The plane was shot down at 1634 by flak and German fighters. SSG Webster survived the crash and was taken prisoner at Stalag Luft 17B in Braunau Gneikendorf. He was from Lynn, Massachusetts.
