George Murray was born on 1917. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Private in the 141st Infantry Regiment, 36th Infantry Division. He entered service in Ohio. He died on August 24, 1944 during the invasion of southern France. He is now buried at Ardennes American Cemetery and Memorial, Neuville-en-Condroz, Arrondissement de Liège, Liège, Belgium. Pvt. Murray was originally listed as Missing in Action, so his name is permanently inscribed on the Tablets of the Missing at the Rhone American Cemetery and Memorial.
