When Franklin Peter Wolff, Jr. was born on June 20, 1919, in Brooklyn, New York, his father, Franklin, was 38 and his mother, Anna, was 23. He had three brothers and four sisters. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Private in the 143rd Infantry Regiment, 36th Infantry Division. He entered service in New York. He died on August 24, 1944 during the invasion of southern France. He is now buried at Saint Augustine National Cemetery, Saint Augustine, St. Johns County, Florida, USA.
