Edward R. Williams was born on February 13, 1918. He served in the U.S. Army Air Forces during World War II as a Flight Officer in the 358th Fighter Squadron, 355th Fighter Group. He entered the service in New Jersey. He was killed in action when his plane crashed on its return to the United Kingdom 8th June 1944 flying in P-51B serial no. 43-7149. He is now buried in Long Island National Cemetery, East Farmingdale, Suffolk County, New York, USA.
