When Antonio B. Luján was born on June 13, 1924, in Orange, California, his father, Cayetano, was 35 and his mother, María, was 33. He had three brothers and four sisters. He entered the military service in California. He served in the U.S. Army during the Normandy Invasion of World War II as a Private in B Company, 502nd Parachute Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division. He died on August 22, 2015 and is now buried in Santa Ana Cemetery, Santa Ana, Orange County, California, USA.
