When Edward T. Yost was born on January 17, 1924, his father, Jacob, was 24 and his mother, Marie, was 21. He had two sisters. He entered the military service in Pennsylvania. He served in the U.S. Army during the Normandy Invasion of World War II as a Private in C Company, 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division. He ended his military service as a Private First Class. He died on April 19, 2002 and is now buried in Brig. Gen. Wm. C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown, Burlington County, New Jersey, USA.
