When Albert Franklin Ladd and his twin sister Dolly Belle were born on March 27, 1896, their father, William, was 41, and their mother, Mary, was 37. He had three brothers and seven sisters. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Private in B Company, 18th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He was wounded in France on Armistice day 1918 and died some days later of his wounds. He is now buried in McCollough Cemetery, Sharp County, Arkansas, USA.
