John Horace Morley was born in February 1895 in Bradford County, Pennsylvania. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Private in Company M, 28th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action in Cantigny, France on May 29, 1918, at the age of 23 and is now buried in Orange Hill Cemetery, Litchfield, Bradford County, Pennsylvania, USA. His name is inscribed on the Cantigny monument as PVT A L MORLEY.
