When George H. Fallin was born on December 8,1900, his father, John, was 27 and his mother, Laura, was 26. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Private in Medical Detachment Company, 18th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He died from his wounds received in battle on August 6, 1918 and is now buried in Myrtle Creek IOOF Cemetery, Myrtle Creek, Douglas County, Oregon, USA. His name is inscribed on the Buzancy monument as PVT G E FALLIN.
