When William Heesaker was born on October 17, 1893, in De Pere, Wisconsin, his father, Peter, was 36 and his mother, Cornelia, was 33. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Private First Class in Company I, 28th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action on July 19, 1918 and is now buried in Allouez Catholic Cemetery And Chapel Mausoleum, Green Bay, Brown County, Wisconsin, USA.
