When Stanley Elliott was born in October 1891 in Casey, Kentucky, his father, Harvey, was 35 and his mother, Serelda, was 32. He had one brother and four sisters. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Corporal in Company B, 16th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action on July 18, 1918 in Picardie, France and is now buried in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Arlington County, Virginia, USA. His name is inscribed on the Buzancy monument as CPL S ELLOIT.
