When Wilson S. Keller was born in 1889, his father, Harry, was 23 and his mother, Mary, was 20. He married Mary Elizabeth (Betty) Woolford on January 29, 1910. They had one child during their marriage. He entered the military service in Pennsylvania. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Second Lieutenant in Company D, 16th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action but declared "Missing" on July 19, 1918 and is memorialized on Tablets of the Missing, Aisne-Marne American Cemetery, Belleau, France.
