Nazareno A. Scattolini entered the military service in Connecticut. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Private in Company D, 16th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action but declared "Missing" on July 19, 1918 and is memorialized on Tablets of the Missing, Aisne-Marne American Cemetery, Belleau, France. He also has a marker in Zion Hill Cemetery, Hartford, Hartford County, Connecticut, USA. His name is inscribed on the Buzancy monument as PVT N SCATTEDINI.
