When Allen Dimon was born on October 15, 1887, in Wales Center, New York, his father, Eugene, was 34 and his mother, Mary, was 32. He had four brothers. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Private First Class in Company G, 16th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He died from his wounds received in battle on July 18, 1918 at the age of 30 in Bourgogne, France and is now buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Wales Center, Erie County, New York, USA.
