When Michael F. Kelley and his twin brother Michael Fredrick were born on July 15, 1913, in Cambridge, Massachusetts, their father, Michael, was 26, and their mother, Susan, was 31. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Private in Company I, 16th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action on July 19, 1918 and is now buried in Oise-Aisne American Cemetery, Seringes-et- Nesles, France. His name is inscribed on the Buzancy monument as PVT M KELLY.
