When Ernest Suddaby was born in 1888 in Hull, Yorkshire, England, his father, John, was 28 and his mother, Rose, was 24. He had seven brothers and two sisters. He entered the military service in illinois. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Corporal in Company A, 18th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action on July 21, 1918 and is now buried in Oise-Aisne American Cemetery, Seringes-et- Nesles, France.
