Monument
A concrete monument, painted white, bearing a granite plaque with gold leaf engraving.  The plaque honors all the French and allied soldiers killed in the vicinity during the war, including the crew of the B-24D 41-23784 NB-R "Miss Dianne" shot down by an enemy fighter at 1402 on 8 mars 1943.  Miss Dianne was returning to her base in Shipdham, Norfolk, after bombing the train station at Sotteville les Rouen.  The eight crew members on the plaque were killed.  Three crew members survived and were taken prisoner:  Sgt Deane J. Devers, SSgt Kenneth L. Erhard, and SSgt Iris C. Wyer.
