Machine Gunner of the B-24D 41-23784 NB-R "Miss Dianne" shot down by an enemy fighter at 1402 on 8 mars 1943. Miss Dianne was returning to her base in Shipdham, Norfolk, after bombing the train station at Sotteville les Rouen. From Clarksburg, West Virginia. Taken prisoner.
He died on December 26, 1972 at the age of 54 in Charlotte, North Carolina and is now buried in the Evergreen Cemetery, Charlotte, Mecklenburg County, North Carolina.
