A grey granite stele with french text engraved in gold leaf.  Honors the crew of the B-24 LIBERATOR N°42-50386, 801st Bomber Group, 850th Bomber Squadron, who were delivering arms to the French resistance when they were shot down by ground flak on 5 July 44.
