Monument

 

A polished inscribed granite plaque attached to a layered stone about 5 feet tall; he symbol of the 2nd Infantry Division is etched into the plaque.

 

The monument remembers the 2nd Infantry Division of Pattons 3rd Army, which liberated the town in May 1945.
