The site is located in the town of Železná Ruda. Železná Ruda (German: Markt Eisenstein) is a town in the Plzeň Region of the Czech Republic located in the Šumava Mountains, close to the border with Bavaria and the German town Bayerisch Eisenstein. The site is across the street and up a slight hill from a church with an onion shaped dome (Kostel Panny Marie Pomocné z Hvězdy) and next to the Motorcycle Museum (Muzeum historických motocyklů).
