387th Bomb Group Thanks Giving Plaque
Details:
On a wall inside the war memorial building.
A nowy-headed oak wood of three panels. Names are arranged in six columns. The coat of arms of Romford is carved in relief in the pediment at the top center. The panels are engraved with the names of 141 civilians and 246 service personnel of the H. M. Forces (British Armed Forces) who lost their lives. These oak panels were presented by the U.S.A.A.F. 387th Bomb Group in recognition of the hospitality they received when stationed in Ramford during WW2.
