Plaque

A rectangular vertically oriented plaque with dark background inscribed in English in gold lettering with the 486th Bomb Group insignia in full colors below the inscription. The plaque serves as gratitude from the 446th Bomb Group Association to the people of Rumburgh for placing a memorial plaque inside the church honoring their fellow members who died in a crash. This appreciation plaque is placed above the said commemorative plaque.

Thanks

 

The 446th Bomb Group Association, organized to

perpetuate the memory of the 446th Bombardment Group (H)

assigned to the 8th Air Force in England, November 1943 to June 1945

resolved at its annual meeting in Gaithersburg, Maryland, U.S.A. May 2004,

to say, Thanks to the people of Rumburgh, England

for their placing of a plaque as a memorial to

members of the 446th Bomb Group.

This Memorial honoring our fellow members

for their deeds and sacrifices insure that these were not in vain.
