Details:
Immediately upon entering the park.
A rectangular white tablet mounted onto a boulder commemorating 1Lt Lutz. The tablet is written in French in engraved and red lettering. 1Lt Lutz was killed in the controls of his P-38 #43-28714 ‘Lucky Lady’ when it was shot down by flak during a mission in La Fere, France, on June 22, 1944.
