Details:

This site is located north of Foy Road. It is north of the town of Belgien and southeast of the 101st Easy Company memorial on Foy Road. There are white rectangle signs with black letters (Peace Woods) and directional arrows placed at the turn for Outbourcy Road where the main parking lot for the site is located. Monument

This site was created on the 50th anniversary of the Battle of the Bulge in honor of the fallen military of both the American and Belgium forces as well as in remembrance of all the civilian casualties. 4,000 trees are indigenous to the Bastogne plateau region. Every returning veteran has a tree permanently dedicated in their name. The woods have been planted to form the UNICEF emblem in the hope that whoever sees the woods from the sky will remember that those who died did not do so in vain.
