A rectangular black plaque written in French commemorating T/5 Edward Rogers who was killed in action on August 31, 1944, during his division's involvement in operations that passed through the region during the liberation of France in 1944. During this period, the Allied forces were engaged in intense battles as they pushed eastward following the Normandy invasion in June 1944. Edward Roger’s rank on the plaque is Corporal but official records show his rank as Technician 5th Grade.
