A black stone monument honoring Lieutenant Colonel Alfred Thomsen of the 35th Infantry Division for leading the 3rd Battalion, 134th Infantry Regiment during intense combat near Villiers Fossard and St-Lô from July 15 to July 18, 1944. The monument features the 35th Infantry Division insignia and is inscribed in both English and French.
