At the south end of the le Parc aux Trois Nationalities.
A series of placards remembering the liberation of the town of Pournoy-la-Chetive, France in September 1944. The placards describe the liberation of the town and the taking of the adjacent railroad tracks by the 10th Infantry Regiment, 5th "Red Diamond" Infantry Division. The placards all the story of how Sergreant Alan Lowell lead the effort to take the nearby tracks. He was later killed in fighting in the Lorraine and is buried in the Lorraine American Cemetery. The fighting here was part of the US Armys Lorraine Campaign and the Battle for Metz.
A soldier killed in action and listed as missing in action, PFC Harold Goodman, is remembered in the town of Pournoy-la-Chetive with a street named in his honor.
