A small roundish fieldstone with a brass inscribed plaque attached to the front.
 
The memorial marks he location near where the B-24 (41-29226) 'Leaky Tub' of the 723rd Bomber Squadron, 450th Bomber Group, 15th Air Force was shot down by enemy fighters on February 23, 1944 after a mission to Steyer, Austria. The plane took off from Manduria, Airfield in southern Italy. Ten of the eleven crew were KIA.

In memory of the aircrew of the 15° US Air Force who crash landed in Bad Wimsbach-Neydharting on February 23, 1944. Ten of eleven Airman lost ther lives.
