Monument to the End of World War 2
Details:
On the northeast corner of the intersection of Route 4 and Road 12118.
A monument that looks like a tree made of cement on a block base with an inscribed brass panel.
The memorial remembers the surrender of about 6000 German forces after the Battle of Siivice, the last battle of the war in Europe. German forces signed the surrender agreement to the US and Soviet Forces on May 12, 1945. The actual surrender occurred near this location.
