Grave Site: IV.B.35 Isolated Burial


A standard Commonwealth War Grave Commission (CWGC) upright grave.

 

Private Murray Carleton Evans was born in 1893 in St Louis, Missouri.  He graduated from Princeton College and enlisted in the Canadian Army during World War 1.  He was killed in action on the Somme on August 17, 1918 while serving with the 15th Battalion of the Canadian Infantry.

 

He is also remembered on the Princeton Plaque in Pershing Hall in Paris.
