A stele bearing a stone plaque that contains an engraved commemoration message that is written in French. 


The memorial remembers the B-24 'Lynn Bar II'  (42-40172) of the 492nd Bomber Group which crashed here while supporting a Operation Carpetbagger mission in August 1944 to support the French Resistance.
