In the back center of the site. Monument The memorial consists of the original entrance to the cemetery, each of the pillars bearing brown plaques, and a black metal frame stand at the top of the stairs that contains white plaque encased in glass.  These plaques contain over 300 names of American and German soldiers that were once buried in a temporary cemetery that existed at this location during and directly after World War II. The memorial honors these soldiers' memories, as well as 15 unknown French soldiers who were also buried here.
