The memorial is located on the southeastern side of the site facing the street. Monument


The light brown granite memorial features engraved black text in French and English. It honors specifically General Matthew Bunker Ridgway and Lieutenant General James Maurice "Jumpin' Jim" Gavin, and celebrates all servicemen who took part in the liberation of Sainte-Mère-Église in June 1944.
