Mike B. Palusjk was born on September 13, 1893, in Russia. He was the son of Bill Palusjk and entered military service in New York. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Private in Company H, 16th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action on July 20, 1918 and is now buried in Oise-Aisne American Cemetery, Seringes-et- Nesles, France. His surname is inscribed on the Buzancy monument as Palujsk and in the 26th Infantry.
