When Earl Elliott was born on August 5, 1895, in Falmouth, Kentucky, his father, James, was 36 and his mother, Lydia, was 32. He had three brothers and three sisters. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Private in Company L, 26th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action on July 19, 1918 (at the age of 18) and is now buried in Riverside Cemetery, Falmouth, Pendleton County, Kentucky, USA.
