Ignacy Olejniczak was born in 1897. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Private in Company D, 28th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action on July 19, 1918 in Picardie, France and is now buried in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Parlin, Middlesex County, New Jersey, USA. His name appears on the cemetery memorial marker in the Veteran's Section as Olejniciak. Newspaper obituary his name is Olenczak.
