When Price Roark was born in February 1892 in Kentucky, his father, Eli, was 23 and his mother, Eliza, was 22. He had one brother. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Sergeant in Company L, 28th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action on July 20, 1918, at the age of 26 and is now buried in Roark Cemetery, Noctor, Breathitt County, Kentucky, USA.
