When Hedley Bergeton Sundstrom was born on January 29, 1899, his father, Voldvin, was 23 and his mother, Anna, was 19. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Private in Company L, 28th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action on July 18, 1918, at the age of 19 and is now buried in Holden Lutheran Church Cemetery, Colfax, Dunn County, Wisconsin, USA.
