When Noble Calvin Lintz was born on March 23, 1895, his father, Simon, was 22 and his mother, Ida, was 24. He was employed at the Packard Electric Company before entering the Army. He was drafted and went to Camp Sherman from Detroit, where he had been for a year with his parents. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Private in Company M, 28th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action on July 21, 1918 (at the age of 23) in France and is now buried in Oakwood Cemetery, Warren, Trumbull County, Ohio, USA.
